Typically, Saturday mornings at our house are about getting up, having breakfast and getting some chores done. Today, however, we are doing things with a much more casual attitude. Our breakfast was quiet, relaxed. No fighting over who got what and how much. Fresh ground coffee. The hypnotic incense-like aroma of the mosquito coil wafting its smoke into the air under our deck umbrella. The soothing, cool colors of the minty green and soft blue of the hydrangeas in a vase on the table.....After the intense heat wave, this cool morning is feeling really pleasant. And it helps, too, that three out of four of our children have spent the night with other people so it's just us three.
So my post today is short. I'm going to relish this quiet time before they all find their way home again...
